This villa is one of our biggest single-story Seminyak accommodation villas featuring four bedrooms with en-suite and semi outdoor bathrooms. The fully equipped kitchen and a spacious living area are perfect for entertaining. Step outside, and you will appreciate the thoughtfully designed terrace, with its outdoor BBQ bar, comfortable lounge chairs and sparkling pool. Just a few steps away from the shopping, dining, spas and the beach, this great example of one of the best Seminyak accommodation villas offers a sanctuary where the element of nature penetrates the heart and soul.

Overlooking the swimming pool and beautiful tropical landscape is the main pavilion, which houses the kitchen, living space and dining area. The dining facilities consist of a luxurious dining table and chair. The living area is very suitable for relaxation for families or groups of friends. Kitchen facilities located in the corner of the space are complete with a gas stove, microwave, coffee maker, juicer, water dispenser, refrigerator, chinaware and glassware.

There are two bedrooms either side of the main building, and two more guesthouses in the beautiful garden. The palimanan stone steps leading to the guesthouses and tropical garden accentuate the beauty of the villa. The guesthouses are also overlooking the swimming pool and barbeque bar. The two bedrooms attached to the main building have king sized beds, and the two guest houses are also king sized beds, that can be converted into two single beds if required. All bedrooms feature wardrobes with safe deposit box, and are air conditioned with ceiling fans. The guesthouse bathrooms feature bathtubs and all bathrooms have open showers with hot and cold running water and exclusive guest amenities and supplies.

A large infinity swimming pool dominates the grounds of the villa. It is surrounded by a tropical garden, green grass, palm trees and other classically tropical vegetation. Just facing the entrance gate, a Buddha statue welcomes you. Behind the statue, a gazebo with a daybed is prepared for you to make your holiday unforgettable.

The villa is situated down a quiet lane off Jalan Raya Seminyak, called Gang Keraton. A short walk will bring you into the centre of Seminyak, a fashionable area with an abundance of boutique shopping options, as well as numerous restaurants, spas, art galleries and nightclubs. The villa is also within walking distance of Legian, the area between Seminyak and Kuta, where you will find more shops, boutiques and famous restaurants. The villa is also conveniently close to Bintang Supermarket, located on Jalan Raya Seminyak, where you can get your groceries. The beach is only a 10 minute walk from the villa, which is the perfect place to enjoy a stunning sunset.       Amazing 7 nights with family
      Our first Christmas in Bali and we had an amazing time. Spent 7 nights at Villa Gembira with broader family and was our first villa accommodation after visiting Bali more than 20 times for my wife. Perfect spot with an 800 meter walk to beach, shops or restaurants. The space was lovely and quiet and was always well maintained. Staff were awesome with nothing ever a problem and the Xmas Day spread they put on was just so good that most of us couldn’t eat dinner. Highly recommend this place

      Stayed for five days with family. Gembira is a lovely villa, well spaced out and semi shaded pool. The staff are excellent, attending to every need, lovely Indonesia breakfast, bed and bathrooms very comfy. Easy to order in or walk to Bintang for supplies or cab. Stayed at Santi this time last year. Would highly recommend Villa Bugis to organise your villa for next vacation. Thank you!

    10. 9 Family members all stayed at Villa Gembira, part of the Villa Bugis group. What a brilliant find. We had 3 couples, 2 singles and 1 child. All the couples had their own Villas with an extra bed for the child in one of the villas and the 2 singles shared a villa. Cooked breakfast was included and we organised a cooked Balinese BBQ one evening which was excellent. The large pool and day bed were well used and the communal eating and lounge area was very comfortable. Close proximity to Seminyak shopping and walking distance to the beach. Highly recommended. The service was exceptional. Thank you for a very memorable family holiday.

      Fantastic stay in villa gembira (one of the vilas under the villa bugis management). We are a family of five, including young children and were staying here with another family. The staff are some of the friendliest, most helpful and competent I have met. The villa itself was perfect for us. A ten minute walk to the shops (including supermarket if you are self catering) and about ten minutes to the beach. I recommend you get them to cook for you. Awesome barbecues cooked at your place while you sip a G&T !

    12. This is a 4 Bed Room Villa among the various options available with Villa Bugis Team. We stayed there for 5 Nights. The Team of Villa Bugis is absolutely professional and well organized. They attempt to cater to all your needs as much possible. The Pool is very good and the Accommodations is good as well. The Location is a bit away from the Main Street. For Multiple Commute, you would have to Rent a Bike. If in a Group, you should rent a Car. The Main Street is very active in day and night. It is full of eateries and night life options. The Beach attached to this area is very nice as well. We had a great time and I am sure that everyone who opt for this villa would do too.

    15. We all loved Villa Gembira! From the minute we walked through the doors, to the beautiful HUGE pool, the fabulous comfy accommodation and the very attentive staff! Nothing was too much trouble! We had our coffees delivered to us every morning and a beautiful choice for breakfast. We had a bbq cooked for us at the villa and it was amazing! Beautiful and large grounds lots of places to sit and relax, and all kept up to a very high standard. Nice hot showers, no electricity problems (even though there was outside the villa). Staff were fantastic! All in all a great holiday, everything we needed was at the villa. Such a pleasure to come back to after being out most days. We shall be back! Thank you.

We had stayed at Villa Cinta for a week and were so impressed with the villa and staff that we decided (after a brief stay at Gili Island) to return to Villa Bugis is we could secure a booking at short notice. They very kindly upgraded us to Villa Gembira and we couldn’t have been happier. The villa was beautiful, but the staff were the absolute joy of our stay. Ever helpful and never too busy to assist us with anything. The villa was close to restaurants, shopping, beaches and other entertainment. We intend to book for Bali again next year and wouldn’t consider looking for anything but a villa in the Villa Bugis chain. Absolutely recommend highly.

    17. We recently stayed in Villa Gembira & Villa Olive for combined birthday celebrations, and had a wonderful time! The villas are located in a great part of Seminyak, close to many restaurants and shops. The rooms were all lovely, beautiful layout and very clean, pool areas were also fantastic. We held a cocktail party in Villa Gembira and it was the perfect setting.
      All staff were friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for us, from shopping for supplies, putting up giant birthday banners, cooking delicious breakfasts and giving us a beautiful surprise birthday cake.
      I would happily return to these villas for our next visit to Bali.

    19. We stayed in Villa Gembira for 2 weeks in Oct 2014 and had an awesome holiday. This is our first stay in Villa Gembira although we have stayed in Villa Saphir twice previously. Gembira, like many of the Bugis Villas has a great open layout and comfortably accommodated our party of 4 adults and 5 children aged 10 – 14. The staff, as usual, were excellent especially Koman who cooked for us day in and day out for about 13 of our 15 days! We also got the staff to cook a massive BBQ banquet one evening which fed everyone including our friends next door (another family of 5). I would (and have) recommended Villa Bugis to anyone who is looking for a good value, chilled out Villa style holiday. Awesome work Villa Bugis, we will be back in April!!

    23. Villa gembira is a great little villa which can sleep 8 people. .it was bigger than we expected and the staff are very kind and are willing to help out all the time.
      The grounds are well maintained and look after.
      When we first arrived the villa is located down a very small windy street but we ended up hiring scooters to make the ride easier as taxi didn’t like to come down the road.
      Overall I give this place a 5 stars

    According to Indonesian Law, from 01 July 2015, all invoices will be issued in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR).

     

    RESERVATION

    Upon confirming a booking, the management will email a reservation confirmation and request the deposit to be paid.An initial deposit invoice will be issued, requesting a deposit to be paid within 3 business days in order to hold the booking, after which, if payment has not been received, the booking may be released.

    50% deposit is required to hold the booking and the balance is to be settled  prior to 30 days before arrival. For bookings made less than 30 days prior to arrival, payment must be made in full.

    The guest will be invoiced for the remaining balance, and will have 3 days after the invoice is sent to provide proof of payment. If the proof of payment is not received, the villa may be made available to others to find a replacement booking. If a replacement booking is found, the guest will be advised that their stay has been cancelled due to breach in terms and conditions of the booking, and any payments made, will be refunded, less any costs and difference in replacement booking amount. Otherwise the booking may be cancelled and deposit forfeited.

    For deposits, payment can be made by credit card or bank transfer.

    All card payments will be charged in Indonesian Rupiah, according to local regulations – the IDR amount will be shown on your statement in your cards currency, using your card provider’s exchange rate. Our Bank applies a 2.5% credit card processing fee. This applies to both debit and credit cards.

    For bank transfers, we need to receive the full amount into our account, so please ensure you apply the option to pay the bank fees at both ends. If the exact invoice amount net of fees is not received into our account, any balance remaining will be adjusted on your final invoice, to be settled upon check-in.

    With payment of the deposit, the customer agrees to theseTerms and Conditions and the management guarantees the reservation.

    For Balance payment  30 days before arrival, we accept credit card or bank transfer. 

     

     
    All deposit and balance payments are  non-refundable under any circumstancesTravel Insurance claims are to be used in lieu of refunds. Not taking out Travel Insurance is assumed to be a conscious decision, and a risk accepted by each traveller.

    If an extra bed has been booked, and then subsequently cancelled, a cancellation fee of one nights extra bed rental is payable.

    Deposit payments which have been paid for one villa cannot be transferred to another villa, unless there is an exception which is approved by Villa Bugis Management.

    Changes can only be considered greater than 2 months prior to the original date of check in, and only one time, else management has the right to charge the original invoice amount.  A new invoice will be issued and a different price in Rupiah may apply to the new invoice (new rates might apply based on the season of the new date). The  deposit paid will be used towards payment of the new invoice. In the event of a no show as well as early departure, any payments made are non-refundable. We also strongly advise you to obtain travel insurance to cover unforeseen medical or travel issues. We also recommend obtaining travel insurance with the CFAR option “Cancellation For Any Reason” – it is inexpensive, at only a few dollars a day. Travel Insurance claims are to be used in lieu of refunds.

    Changes that can be considered on a case by case basis:

    Change the date of stay to have the check in date earlier than the original booking (based on availability)

    Change the date of stay to have the same stay length but the check in date is later than the original booking, max 12 Months from the original check in date (new rates might apply based on the season of the new date)

    Extend the stay (based on availability).

    Any approved shortening of stay must still comply with the minimum stay rules of 3 nights (5 nights in high and peak season)

    Upgrade the number of rooms used (based on availability) at an extra cost.

    A change in the actual villa booked will unlikely be considered under any circumstance

    All changes to an original booking are completely at the discretion of Villa Bugis, and Villa Bugis has no obligation to make any changes to the original booking. Any change to the original booking approved will not result in a reduction in the deposit paid, balance paid, or balance due, which is why travel insurance is so important to obtain upon booking.

    An administration fee of $25.00 will apply to all booking amendments. Should you leave earlier than expected, full payment will still be required. Bookings made through third party providers are subject to the cancellation policy stated by that service.

    MINIMUM STAYS, CHECK-IN AND CHECK- OUT TIMES, AND RENTAL RATES

    The minimum stay is generally 3 nights (5 nights in high and peak season). Check in time is from 2pm and check out time is before 12 noon. A late check out can be booked at half the daily rate, subject to availability. Rental rates vary according to the season and are subject to change without notice; the customer is advised to check the applicable rates on our website before making a booking. We do not accept arrival or departures on Nyepi Day

    The maximum number of people per villa is the equivalent of 2 people per bedroom – e.g. for a 3 bedroom, maximum is 6 people. Infants can of course be catered for with baby cots, and small children may also be permitted to stay in a bedroom with parents, at the discretion of management. More than 2 people per bedroom can of course be considered, with the addition of extra beds – the maximum per villa being on a case by case basis.

    Extra person policy:

    • Adults stay – extra bed/transport and breakfast – IDR500.000/person/night
    • Children ages 0 – 11 without an extra bed are free of charge, but if they require breakfast, it can be supplied at an additional charge of 80K per person.
    • Children ages 12 and up will be considered as an adult and require an extra bed

    Minimum stay age and booking on behalf of others:

    Bookings cannot be made by, or on behalf of other persons without prior agreement with management.  If a booking was made by credit card, the card used for the booking must be presented, or check in may be refused.

    No bookings will be accepted by guests under the age of 25 without prior management approval on a case by case basis. A larger security deposit may be requested. If such bookings as above are made without management approval, they may be cancelled by management at any time and any monies paid non refundable

     

    INSURANCE

     

    The customer is strongly advised to have travel insurance, for the unlikely event of any illness, accident, loss of personal items or other travel related contingencies during their travel or stay in Bali, and particularly covering natural disasters. Travel Insurance claims are to be used in lieu of refunds

    The customers need to be aware that they are required to comply with local laws and regulations. A copy of passports is required at check-in for police registration, and only registered guests can stay in the villa, else authorities impose high penalties. No drugs or any illegal activities are permitted on the premises. The guests need to show consideration regarding noise levels and to respect the privacy of other guests and neighbours. Any cost of dealing with police or other authorities is the responsibility of the customer. Pets are not permitted on the premises at all times. If guests do not show consideration to noise levels or proper behavior, they may also be given 2 warnings, after which, their stay may be terminated, and required to move out immediately, without any refund.

    PARTY POLICY

    1. Maximum capacity: 50 guests for standing dinner party and 40 guests for seated fine dining in our bigger villas – less in smaller villas

    2. Music with minimum volume allowed until 10PM – no additional sound systems are allowed. Our villas are situated in a quiet residential area and we respect our neighbours, the visitors and families in other villas and houses in the area

    3. Minimum stay 3 nights during low season and 5 nights during high and peak season

    4. In Bali for gatherings of people larger than the villa usually accommodates (e.g. for a party) there is a Banjar or Local Community fee of – IDR 2,000,000 applicable. This is not from our company, but local government rules. The money goes to the local Banjar or council and provides for a confirmation letter advising Banjar approval for the gathering, and also the provision of extra Balinese security (Pecalang) from the Banjar – if there is any complaint from a neighbour, we then have this backup already. There is also a small cleaning fee of IDR 500,000 for our staff to do an extra clean up after your event.

    DRONE USAGE

    Drones are not to be used on or around Villa Bugis properties without the prior permission of Villa Bugis Management.

    FIREWORKS

    Due to the flammable nature of many villa roofs, fireworks are strictly prohibited and may result in the immediate termination of stay without refund.

    RESPONSIBILITY

    The customer is responsible for any damage caused to the villa or its content during the stay, this includes damages caused by other people that the customer invites to the villa. Upon your arrival, we will also require a security deposit of IDR 3,000,000 to cover any damage or losses at the Villa during your stay. This may be paid in cash or credit card and cash deposits will be refunded at check out. Please note that we also receive cash equivalent in other currencies and will return in the same currency.

    Also, please note that currently cardver payment for security deposit is no longer available due to Bank regulation until further notice. Credit card payment is still possible, however there will be a 2.5% credit card fee and it can be refunded upon check out by cash IDR.

    It also can be refunded to your credit card but it may take a long time to post to your account, so please be aware that credit card refunds can take several weeks to process by the banks, and also the amount received might be different due fees, charges or the exchange rate which is totally outside of our control – if this is an issue for you, we suggest using cash.

    Please be advised that the villa owner or management is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal items, illness, injuries or accidents during your stay in our villas. Delay in arrival for any reason or changes in travel schedules cannot be compensated by the management. No responsibility can be taken for failure of machinery or equipment in the villa, but the management will aim to assist the customers in the best way possible and have any such problems rectified as quickly as possible. This includes services that depend on the performance of external providers such as electricity, cable TV and internet. The management does not accept responsibility for any events that are outside the control of the management, such as fire and severe weather.
