Why Book A Villa Direct?

why book a villa direct
Why book your villa directly with the property,  rather than all the other online options offered these days?

Why book a villa direct with the property,  rather than all the other online options offered these days?

With the number of booking options available, it can get confusing with all the information and flashy advertising these days, all aimed at one thing – separating you from your hard earned money!

So, why book a villa direct with the property? Well, in the end, it is your choice of course – but, ask yourself this question – ‘who should be providing me with the best possible deal and service’? The company that is ultimately hosting you, and providing the services – or another party who is only usually ‘reselling’ exactly the same product, under a different banner? Often they are then just re-booking with the property manager anyway.

When you look at it that way, it makes perfect sense to book directly from the source!

At Villa Bugis, we pride ourselves not just in the product – the villa itself – but the services that we provide you before, during and after your stay!

So what does that look like? Here are a few reasons why booking directly makes more sense.

  • Guaranteed Lowest Rate!. In the unlikely event that you find a better rate elsewhere, send us the details and we will match it as long as the details are the same. There are a lot of fakes out there!
  • Only pay a deposit, not the full amount upon booking
  • Personalised service from real people – our friendly reservation team!
  • The ability to chat with our reservation team before, during and after a booking to assist in all matters
  • Ability to discuss anything you need to clarify, or issues you are facing – this is often not an option for many other ‘online’ options – who do not know the villa details, or how to answer your detailed questions. Sometimes you just want an answer from a real person who knows what they are talking about!
  • Many different contact methods – by phone, email or whatsapp
  • Online chat with one of our staff live if you prefer typing than talking to a person
  • Ability to pay via credit card, bank transfer or ‘Wise’.
  • The ability to modify your reservation in some situations due to certain unforeseen circumstances
  • Free airport transfers
  • Free daily breakfast
  • Extra bonuses for repeat guests
  • Late check out options (subject to availability)
  • Early Checkin options (subject to availability)

Christmas in Bali With Kids: What Families Should Know Before Booking Their Holiday

Planning Christmas in Bali with children can be a wonderful way to spend the festive season. Instead of cold weather and winter routines, families can enjoy warm tropical days, swimming pools, beaches, outdoor dining and a relaxed holiday atmosphere. But travelling to Bali over Christmas is different from visiting during a quieter period of the year. Christmas falls during one of Bali’s busiest holiday periods. Families from Australia and other parts of the world travel to the island for their summer break, while hotels, villas, restaurants and tourist attractions prepare for the festive season. This means families should think about more than simply finding somewhere beautiful to stay. Location, room configuration, private space, access to restaurants, transportation and the daily routine of travelling with children can all make a significant difference to your holiday. If you are considering Christmas in Bali with kids, here is what families should know before booking. Is Christmas in Bali Good for Families? Yes. Bali can be an excellent destination for a family Christmas, particularly for families who enjoy spending time outdoors. Children can swim, play at the beach, explore new surroundings and enjoy a holiday that feels very different from Christmas at home. For parents, Bali also offers a wide choice of restaurants, private villas, family-friendly attractions and services that can make travelling with children easier. The main consideration is choosing the right location and accommodation. A beautiful villa that is far away from restaurants and activities may not be as convenient for a family as a centrally located villa where you can easily return for an afternoon nap, swimming or some quiet time. During the Christmas period, convenience becomes particularly valuable because popular areas can be busy. What Is Christmas in Bali Actually Like? Christmas in Bali has a unique combination of tropical holiday atmosphere and festive celebrations. Although Bali has its own predominantly Hindu cultural traditions, Christmas is widely recognised in hotels, resorts, restaurants and tourist areas. Travellers can find Christmas lunches, special dinners, festive decorations, Christmas menus and seasonal events. At the same time, you are still enjoying a tropical Bali holiday. A typical family Christmas might include: Breakfast at the villa A morning swim Time at the beach A Christmas lunch An afternoon relaxing by the pool Sunset drinks or a family dinner A quiet evening at the villa You do not have to spend the entire day attending organised Christmas events. For many families, the opportunity to slow down and spend quality time together is the best part of celebrating Christmas in Bali. Why Location Matters When Travelling With Kids Location is one of the most important things to consider when booking a family holiday in Bali. With children, you may need to make several trips back to your accommodation during the day. Someone may need a nap. Someone may have forgotten something. The children may simply become tired after several hours outside. This is why staying close to restaurants, beaches and other conveniences can make your holiday much easier. Consider what is within easy reach Before booking accommodation, look at the surrounding area and ask: How far is the nearest restaurant? How close is the beach? Are there shops nearby? Can you easily arrange transport? Is there enough space for the children to relax? Can the family return to the villa during the day without a complicated journey? These questions may seem simple, but they can have a major impact on a family holiday. Should Families Stay in a Villa or Hotel for Christmas in Bali? Both can work well, but a private villa offers some advantages for families. A hotel generally provides shared facilities and a structured environment. A private villa gives your family its own space. This can be particularly useful during Christmas because the holiday is often about spending time together rather than constantly moving from one activity to another. A villa can provide: More living space Private bedrooms A private swimming pool Indoor and outdoor areas Space for children to play A place for parents to relax More privacy The flexibility to spend parts of the day at home For families travelling with grandparents, siblings or friends, the benefits can be even greater because everyone can stay together rather than booking several separate hotel rooms. Is a Private Pool Important for Families? For many families, yes. A private pool can become one of the most-used facilities during a Bali holiday. Children can swim in the morning before heading out, return for an afternoon swim or spend a quiet day at the villa while parents relax nearby. However, parents should always consider pool safety before booking. Check whether the villa is suitable for your children’s ages and swimming abilities, and make sure children are supervised around the pool. The most luxurious accommodation is not necessarily the most suitable accommodation if the layout does not work for your family. What Can Families Do on Christmas Day in Bali? One of the questions families often have is whether Bali is open on Christmas Day. In major tourist areas, many restaurants, hotels and tourist services continue operating during the Christmas period, although individual businesses may have special opening hours or festive arrangements. For families, Christmas Day can be kept simple. You could spend the morning at your villa, have lunch at a restaurant, visit the beach and then return to the pool. Alternatively, you can book a special Christmas lunch or dinner. The important thing is to check availability in advance. Popular restaurants and hotels may have special Christmas menus or limited seating, and tables can become difficult to find closer to December 25. What About Bali Weather at Christmas? Christmas falls during Bali’s wet season. This does not mean that it will rain continuously throughout your holiday. Bali can still have plenty of warm, enjoyable periods during the day, but tropical rain showers are more common during the wet season. For families, the best approach is to avoid planning every day around outdoor activities. Have a

Is New Year’s Eve in Bali Worth It? What to Expect From the Crowds, Traffic & Celebrations

If you are considering spending the end of the year in Bali, you may be wondering whether New Year’s Eve in Bali is really worth experiencing. Bali is already one of the world’s most popular holiday destinations, but during the festive season, the island takes on a completely different atmosphere. From sunset drinks and beachfront dinners to countdown parties, fireworks and late-night celebrations, New Year’s Eve in Bali can be an unforgettable way to welcome the new year. At the same time, it is important to know what to expect. Popular areas become busy, roads can be heavily congested, accommodation prices are typically higher, and popular restaurants and events can fill up well in advance. The good news is that a little planning can make a significant difference. Whether you are travelling as a couple, with children, with friends, or as part of a larger family group, this guide explains what New Year’s Eve in Bali is like, where the biggest celebrations take place, how to deal with the crowds and traffic, and how to choose the right place to stay. What Is New Year’s Eve Like in Bali? New Year’s Eve in Bali is a combination of tropical holiday atmosphere and large-scale celebrations. During the final week of December, popular areas across Bali become noticeably busier as international visitors arrive for the Christmas and New Year holiday period. Hotels, resorts, villas, restaurants, beach clubs and bars prepare special events, dinners and parties for the occasion. The evening itself can range from a relaxed dinner with your family to a full night of music, dancing and countdown celebrations. You do not necessarily need to attend a major party to enjoy New Year’s Eve in Bali. Many travellers choose to have dinner at a restaurant, enjoy a few drinks, watch the sunset and then return to their accommodation for a quieter evening. This flexibility is one of the advantages of celebrating New Year in Bali. Where Are the Biggest New Year’s Eve Celebrations in Bali? The type of New Year’s Eve experience you have depends heavily on where you stay. Seminyak Seminyak is one of the most popular choices for travellers who want restaurants, beach access, nightlife and plenty of options for New Year’s Eve. The area is particularly convenient because many restaurants, bars, beach clubs and entertainment venues are concentrated relatively close together. For couples and groups of friends, Seminyak offers plenty of choices for a lively night. Families can also enjoy the area by choosing an earlier dinner, spending time at the beach and returning to their villa before the late-night crowds become too intense. Canggu Canggu is another major destination for New Year celebrations, particularly among travellers looking for beach clubs, live music and a younger nightlife atmosphere. However, Canggu can become extremely busy during the festive season, and traffic is an important consideration when planning your evening. Kuta and Legian Kuta and Legian have long been associated with Bali’s nightlife and New Year celebrations. These areas can offer a more energetic and crowded atmosphere, with celebrations continuing late into the night. Uluwatu Uluwatu can be attractive for travellers looking for dramatic coastal scenery, sunset views and a more destination-style New Year experience. However, staying in Uluwatu means you should think carefully about transportation if you plan to visit other parts of Bali during the festive season. Ubud Ubud provides a very different New Year experience. Instead of focusing primarily on beach parties and nightlife, visitors can choose restaurants, resorts and wellness experiences in a more tranquil setting. For travellers who prefer a slower celebration, Ubud can be an appealing alternative. How Crowded Is Bali on New Year’s Eve? This is one of the most important things to understand before booking a New Year’s Eve in Bali holiday. Bali is busy during the Christmas and New Year period, and the most popular tourist areas can become particularly crowded. The busiest places tend to be: Popular beaches Beach clubs Major restaurants Shopping and entertainment areas Main roads connecting tourist areas Popular sunset locations Venues hosting New Year’s Eve events The level of crowding also depends on the time of day. During the afternoon, people are often travelling between beaches, restaurants, villas and activities. As evening approaches, more visitors head towards dinner venues and entertainment areas. After midnight, large numbers of people may leave celebration venues at approximately the same time, which can make transportation particularly challenging. For this reason, where you stay can be just as important as where you celebrate. Should You Book New Year’s Eve Restaurants in Advance? Absolutely. New Year’s Eve is one of the busiest dining periods of the year, and many restaurants offer special set menus, dinner packages or events. If you already know where you would like to eat, booking in advance is strongly recommended. This is particularly important for: Family dinners Large groups Popular restaurants Beachfront dining Special New Year’s Eve events Restaurants with limited seating Do not assume that you can simply walk into your favourite restaurant on December 31. A little planning can save you from spending the evening searching for an available table. Do Bali Villas Have New Year’s Eve Celebrations? Not every villa offers a formal New Year’s Eve event, and this can actually be an advantage for some travellers. A private villa gives you the freedom to decide how much or how little you want to participate in the celebrations. You might spend the afternoon by the pool, have dinner at a nearby restaurant, visit the beach for sunset and then return to your villa for the countdown. For families or multi-generational groups, this can be much more comfortable than spending the entire night in a crowded venue. A private villa also gives everyone a place to relax before and after going out. Is New Year’s Eve in Bali Suitable for Families? Yes. Although Bali has a reputation for nightlife, New Year’s Eve in Bali can be enjoyed by families as well. The key is choosing

Is Seminyak Good for Couples? A Guide to Romance, Dining & Private Villas

If you are planning a romantic Bali getaway, you may be wondering: Is Seminyak good for couples? The short answer is yes. Seminyak for couples offers an easy mix of beautiful beaches, romantic dining, private pool villas, sunset experiences, spas, shopping, and lively nightlife. all within a relatively compact area. Unlike some parts of Bali that require longer journeys between attractions, Seminyak makes it possible to combine relaxing mornings, afternoon beach time, romantic dinners, and evenings out without spending your entire holiday travelling. Whether you are planning a honeymoon, anniversary, couples’ holiday, or simply a relaxing escape for two, Seminyak is one of the most convenient areas in Bali to consider. Why Is Seminyak Good for Couples? Seminyak has a combination that works particularly well for couples: romance, convenience, privacy, and plenty of things to do together. The area is known for its restaurants, cafes, boutiques, spas, beach clubs, and sunset atmosphere. At the same time, couples can retreat to a private villa with their own pool and garden when they want more peace and privacy. This balance makes Seminyak good for couples appealing to different types of travellers. You can spend one day exploring the neighbourhood and enjoying a long lunch, then spend the next day doing almost nothing except swimming, relaxing, and ordering food at your villa. 1. Romantic Beaches and Sunset Experiences One of the simplest romantic experiences in Seminyak is spending an afternoon near the beach. Seminyak Beach is particularly enjoyable around sunset, when the atmosphere becomes more relaxed and the beach fills with people watching the sky change colour. Couples can take a walk along the sand, find somewhere comfortable to sit, or continue the evening with dinner or drinks nearby. For couples who prefer a slower holiday, this is one of the advantages of staying in Seminyak: you do not need a complicated itinerary to have an enjoyable day. 2. Romantic Restaurants and Dining Food is another major reason Seminyak is good for couples. The area has an extensive selection of restaurants, from casual cafes and local Indonesian food to sophisticated dining experiences. Couples can easily plan a romantic dinner after spending the afternoon at the beach or relaxing at their villa. For a more memorable date night, couples can choose from several restaurants and dining spots around Seminyak. Sardine offers a romantic setting surrounded by rice fields, while Mauri Restaurant is a sophisticated choice for couples looking for an elevated dining experience. For a relaxed beachfront atmosphere, La Lucciola is a popular option for enjoying dinner with views of the ocean. Couples who prefer a lively setting can also consider The Plantation Grill, known for its elegant interiors and special-occasion atmosphere. For a more casual date, Seminyak also has plenty of stylish cafes and restaurants where couples can enjoy brunch, coffee, cocktails, or a long lunch without needing a formal dining experience. A typical couples’ evening in Seminyak might look like: Private villa → sunset at the beach → cocktails → romantic dinner → evening walk The variety of restaurants also makes Seminyak for couples particularly appealing for longer stays. You can try a different dining experience each night, from a relaxed beachfront dinner to an elegant restaurant for a special occasion   3. Private Pool Villas for Couples For couples, accommodation can be just as important as the destination itself. A private pool villa offers something that a traditional hotel room often cannot: your own private outdoor space. Instead of sharing a pool with other guests, couples can start the morning with a swim, relax in the garden during the afternoon, and enjoy a quiet evening without leaving their accommodation. This is especially appealing for honeymooners, anniversary trips, and couples looking for a more private Bali experience. When choosing a villa in Seminyak, consider: Private swimming pool Spacious bedroom and living areas Private garden Location close to restaurants and attractions Easy access to Seminyak Beach Villa staff and service Privacy and quiet surroundings The best location depends on what type of holiday you want. Couples who want to explore restaurants and nightlife may prefer to stay close to the central Seminyak area, while those prioritising relaxation may prefer a quieter villa with easy access to the main attractions. 4. Couples’ Spa and Wellness Experiences A couples’ holiday in Bali would not be complete without some time dedicated to relaxation. Seminyak has numerous spas where couples can enjoy massages and other wellness treatments together. A spa visit works particularly well after a day of sightseeing or before a romantic dinner. It is also an easy way to slow down your itinerary rather than trying to fill every day with activities. For honeymooners and couples celebrating an anniversary, booking a couples’ spa treatment can also become part of the overall romantic experience. 5. Shopping and Exploring Seminyak Together Seminyak is not only about beaches and restaurants. The neighbourhood has boutiques, homeware stores, fashion shops, art galleries, cafes, and local businesses that are enjoyable to explore at a relaxed pace. Couples can spend an afternoon walking around, stopping for coffee, browsing shops, and deciding where to have dinner. This makes Seminyak particularly convenient for couples who enjoy having options rather than following a strict itinerary. 6. Seminyak Nightlife for Couples Seminyak has a lively nightlife scene, but couples do not have to spend their evenings in crowded clubs. There are many ways to enjoy Seminyak after dark. You could have cocktails overlooking the ocean, enjoy a long dinner, listen to live music, visit a beach club, or simply return to your villa for a quiet evening. This flexibility is one of the reasons Seminyak for couples works for both younger travellers and couples looking for a more sophisticated and relaxed Bali holiday. 7. Seminyak Is Convenient for a Couples’ Holiday Location is another major advantage. From Seminyak, couples can easily explore nearby parts of southwest Bali, including Legian, Kuta, Canggu, and other popular destinations. You can also choose to stay within Seminyak for most
