Bali Travel Trend: Why Travelers Come for Healing, Yoga, and Slow Living

Bali travel has changed significantly over the past few years. While the island has always been famous for beautiful beaches, tropical weather, and luxury holidays, travelers today are visiting Bali for much deeper reasons. Modern tourists are increasingly searching for experiences that focus on wellness, mindfulness, relaxation, and emotional wellbeing. Because of this shift, Bali has become one of the world’s leading wellness travel destinations. Many travelers no longer see Bali travel as simply a beach vacation. Instead, Bali is now viewed as a place for healing, self-care, yoga retreats, and slow living experiences. The island offers a unique combination of tropical nature, spiritual culture, healthy lifestyles, and peaceful surroundings that make visitors feel relaxed almost immediately after arriving. As modern life becomes more stressful and fast-paced, Bali travel continues to attract people who want to disconnect from busy routines and reconnect with themselves in a calmer environment. Why Bali Travel Is Popular for Wellness Tourism One of the biggest reasons wellness tourism continues to grow is because travelers are prioritizing mental health and personal wellbeing more than ever before. Bali travel perfectly supports this lifestyle because the island naturally encourages slower, healthier, and more balanced experiences. Visitors can enjoy peaceful mornings surrounded by rice terraces, yoga classes overlooking tropical landscapes, traditional Balinese healing treatments, and relaxing spa experiences designed to reduce stress and improve wellbeing. Many tourists choose Bali travel specifically to experience mindfulness, meditation, and healthier daily routines away from crowded city life. The island’s atmosphere also plays a major role in attracting wellness travelers. Bali combines natural beauty with spiritual traditions in a way that feels authentic and calming. Temples, daily ceremonies, jungle scenery, waterfalls, and ocean views all contribute to the peaceful environment that makes Bali travel feel restorative and meaningful. Social media has further increased global interest in Bali wellness tourism. Images of tropical villas, healthy cafes, yoga retreats, and relaxing spa experiences continue to inspire travelers worldwide. As a result, Bali travel remains highly popular among digital nomads, couples, solo travelers, and wellness-focused tourists. Ubud Is the Center of Wellness Travel in Bali When discussing wellness focused Bali travel, Ubud is often considered the heart of the experience. Surrounded by lush forests, rice fields, waterfalls, and traditional villages, Ubud has become internationally recognized for yoga retreats, holistic healing, and spiritual tourism. Travelers visiting Ubud often come seeking peace, healing, and personal transformation. The area is filled with yoga studios, meditation centers, wellness retreats, and organic cafes that support healthy lifestyles. Visitors can spend their days attending yoga classes, participating in sound healing sessions, exploring nature, or simply relaxing in a peaceful environment far from the pressures of modern life. One of the reasons Ubud remains so popular for Bali travel is because it offers a deeper connection to Balinese culture and spirituality. Many travelers leave Ubud feeling emotionally refreshed and mentally recharged after spending time surrounded by nature and mindfulness-focused experiences. Slow Living Has Become a Major Bali Travel Trend Another reason Bali travel continues to grow is the global rise of slow living. More people are choosing holidays that focus on rest, balance, and meaningful experiences rather than rushed schedules and overcrowded tourist attractions. Bali naturally supports slow living because life on the island moves at a calmer pace. Travelers often spend their days enjoying simple moments such as morning coffee beside a private pool, sunset walks on the beach, relaxing spa treatments, or healthy meals at tropical cafes. Instead of constantly rushing between activities, Bali encourages visitors to slow down and enjoy the present moment. This style of Bali travel has become especially attractive for remote workers and digital nomads who want a healthier balance between work and personal wellbeing. Many long term travelers now choose Bali because the island allows them to remain productive while also enjoying a more peaceful and enjoyable lifestyle. Private Villas Enhance the Bali Travel Experience Private villas have become one of the most important parts of modern Bali travel, especially among wellness focused travelers. Unlike traditional hotels, villas provide privacy, tranquility, and spacious tropical environments that allow guests to fully relax. Many travelers now prefer staying in private villas because they offer a more personal and peaceful experience. Open living spaces, tropical gardens, private swimming pools, and quiet surroundings help create an atmosphere that supports rest and relaxation. Villas also allow guests to enjoy Bali at their own pace without the crowds often found in large resorts. In Seminyak, private villas are particularly popular because they combine wellness, comfort, and convenience. Travelers can enjoy peaceful accommodation while remaining close to beaches, yoga studios, wellness cafes, spas, and some of Bali’s best restaurants. This balance makes Seminyak one of the top destinations for luxury Bali travel experiences. Healthy Food Culture Supports Bali Wellness Tourism Healthy dining has become another major part of Bali travel. Across the island, travelers can easily find cafes and restaurants that focus on fresh, organic, and nutritious food. Areas such as Seminyak, Ubud, and Canggu are especially known for their healthy cafe culture and wellness-focused dining experiences. Many visitors enjoy Bali travel because it allows them to maintain healthier lifestyles while on holiday. Smoothie bowls, fresh tropical fruits, organic coffee, plant-based meals, seafood dishes, and farm-to-table dining are now common across Bali’s tourism destinations. The island’s healthy food culture perfectly complements the wellness travel experience. Travelers often feel that Bali allows them to relax and indulge while still maintaining physical wellbeing and healthy daily habits. Enjoy a Relaxing Bali Travel Experience in Seminyak For travelers seeking comfort, relaxation, and wellness during their Bali travel experience, Seminyak remains one of the island’s best locations. At Villa Bugis Seminyak, guests can enjoy spacious private villas with large tropical gardens and swimming pools, friendly staff, and a prime Seminyak location close to famous beaches, wellness cafes, yoga studios, and relaxing spas. Traditional Balinese cultural activities in Bali featuring Kecak Dance at Uluwatu Temple

10 Experience Balinese Culture Through Traditional Activities in Bali

Bali is more than just tropical beaches and luxury resorts. The island is deeply connected to centuries old traditions, spiritual ceremonies, artistic heritage, and community life that continue to shape everyday experiences. Travelers looking for authentic activities in Bali will discover that the island offers countless opportunities to connect with local culture through dance, rituals, crafts, cuisine, and nature-based traditions. From watching the mesmerizing Kecak Dance at Uluwatu Temple to joining a traditional Balinese cooking class in a local village, these cultural experiences allow visitors to see the true soul of Bali beyond the tourist attractions. If you are planning a meaningful holiday, here are the best traditional activities in Bali that will help you experience Balinese culture in a deeper and more memorable way. 1. Watch the Famous Kecak Dance at Uluwatu Temple One of the most iconic cultural activities in Bali is watching the traditional Kecak Dance performance at Uluwatu Temple. Performed during sunset on the cliffside amphitheater overlooking the Indian Ocean, the dance creates a magical atmosphere unlike anywhere else in Bali. The Kecak Dance tells the story of the Ramayana using rhythmic chanting, dramatic fire performances, and expressive movements. Unlike many traditional dances, Kecak does not use musical instruments. Instead, dozens of performers create hypnotic sounds by chanting “cak-cak-cak” repeatedly throughout the performance. This cultural experience combines Balinese spirituality, storytelling, music, and breathtaking scenery, making it one of the most unforgettable traditional activities in Bali. 2. Join a Traditional Balinese Cooking Class Balinese cuisine reflects the island’s rich cultural identity. Joining a traditional cooking class is one of the most rewarding activities in Bali because it allows visitors to understand local ingredients, spices, and culinary traditions. Many cooking classes begin with a visit to a traditional market where participants learn about fresh herbs, tropical fruits, spices, and local vegetables. Guests are then guided through the preparation of authentic dishes such as nasi goreng, sate lilit, lawar, and ayam betutu. Cooking classes also provide insight into Balinese family life and communal dining traditions, making the experience both educational and enjoyable. 3. Experience a Traditional Balinese Temple Ceremony Religion plays a central role in Balinese daily life. Visiting a local temple ceremony offers one of the most authentic spiritual activities in Bali. Balinese Hindu ceremonies are filled with colorful offerings, traditional clothing, gamelan music, incense, and prayers. During special celebrations such as Galungan and Kuningan, temples become vibrant gathering places where locals honor their ancestors and gods. Visitors who respectfully observe or participate in these ceremonies gain a deeper appreciation of Bali’s spiritual culture and community traditions. 4. Learn the Art of Balinese Dance Balinese dance is known for its precise hand movements, expressive eyes, and graceful body gestures. Taking a dance workshop is one of the most unique cultural activities in Bali for travelers interested in traditional arts. Dance schools across Bali teach classical dances such as Legong, Barong, and Pendet. Instructors explain the meaning behind each movement and how dance connects to storytelling and religious ceremonies. Learning Balinese dance also helps visitors understand the discipline and dedication involved in preserving Bali’s artistic traditions. 5. Visit Traditional Villages Exploring local villages around Kintamani is among the best cultural activities in Bali for travelers seeking authentic experiences. Traditional villages allow visitors to see daily Balinese life, including temple architecture, family compounds, rice farming, and local craftsmanship. Villages such as Penglipuran are famous for preserving traditional Balinese layouts and community values. Walking through these peaceful villages offers a different perspective compared to Bali’s busy tourist areas and highlights the island’s strong cultural identity. 6. Discover Balinese Wood Carving and Handicrafts Balinese craftsmanship is admired around the world. Visiting artisan workshops is one of the most fascinating artistic activities in Bali. In villages like Mas and Celuk, local artists continue generations of traditional wood carving, silver jewelry making, and handmade crafts. Visitors can watch artisans create intricate sculptures, ceremonial masks, and decorative pieces using techniques passed down through families for centuries. These cultural experiences support local communities while allowing travelers to appreciate Bali’s artistic heritage firsthand. 7. Take Part in a Balinese Offering Workshop Canang sari, the small flower offerings seen throughout Bali, are an important part of daily spiritual life. Joining an offering-making workshop is one of the most meaningful spiritual activities in Bali. Participants learn how to create offerings using palm leaves, flowers, and incense while understanding the symbolism behind each element. The workshop also explains Balinese Hindu philosophy and the importance of gratitude and balance in everyday life. This simple yet beautiful tradition provides valuable insight into Balinese culture and spirituality. 8. Explore Bali’s Traditional Rice Terraces Rice farming has shaped Balinese culture for centuries. Visiting rice terraces is one of the most scenic and culturally important activities in Bali. Places like Tegalalang Rice Terrace showcase the traditional subak irrigation system, which is recognized by UNESCO as part of Bali’s cultural heritage. The terraces demonstrate the Balinese philosophy of harmony between humans, nature, and spirituality. Walking through the rice fields allows travelers to experience the peaceful rural atmosphere that remains central to traditional Balinese life. 9. Attend a Traditional Gamelan Music Performance Gamelan music is an essential part of Balinese ceremonies and performances. Listening to a live gamelan orchestra is one of the most immersive cultural activities in Bali. The orchestra consists of metallophones, drums, bamboo flutes, and gongs that create rhythmic and hypnotic melodies. Gamelan performances often accompany temple ceremonies, dance performances, and community celebrations. The complex rhythms and coordination between musicians reflect the strong sense of harmony and cooperation within Balinese culture. 10. Join a Balinese Purification Ritual A traditional water purification ceremony, known as melukat, is one of the most spiritual wellness activities in Bali. These rituals are performed at sacred water temples where locals and visitors seek purification, healing, and inner balance. Many travelers visit temples such as Tirta Empul Temple to experience the cleansing ritual using holy spring water. Participants wear traditional sarongs and follow guided purification steps while learning about

Planning a Bali travel holiday? Discover everything you should prepare before visiting Bali, including travel tips, packing essentials, budgeting, transportation, and the best places to stay.

Bali Travel Checklist: Everything You Should Prepare Before Your Holiday

Planning a Bali travel experience is always exciting. Bali has become one of the world’s most popular tropical destinations because it offers a complete holiday experience, from beautiful beaches and luxury villas to cultural attractions, wellness retreats, vibrant nightlife, and breathtaking natural scenery. Whether you are traveling for relaxation, adventure, or a romantic getaway, preparing properly before arriving in Bali can help make your holiday smoother, more comfortable, and far more enjoyable. Many travelers focus only on booking flights and accommodation, but there are several important things that should be prepared before visiting Bali. From travel documents and budgeting to packing essentials and transportation planning, every detail can contribute to a stress-free holiday experience. Prepare Your Travel Documents Before Departure One of the most important parts of Bali travel preparation is ensuring your travel documents are complete and valid. International travelers should always check passport validity before booking flights. Indonesia generally requires passports to be valid for at least six months from the arrival date. Depending on your nationality, you may also need: Visa on Arrival (VOA) Electronic Visa (e-Visa) Return flight confirmation Accommodation booking confirmation Travel insurance documentation Travel insurance is also highly recommended for Bali travel, especially for travelers planning outdoor activities, island hopping, surfing, or scooter riding. Having insurance coverage can provide peace of mind in case of unexpected medical situations, cancellations, or travel delays. It is always a good idea to keep digital copies of your passport, visa, flight tickets, and hotel confirmations stored on your phone or cloud storage for easy access during your trip. Understand the Best Time to Visit Bali Knowing the best season for Bali travel can help you plan the ideal holiday experience. Bali has a tropical climate with two primary seasons, the dry season and the rainy season. The dry season, usually from April until October, is considered the best time to visit Bali because the weather is sunny, humidity is lower, and outdoor activities become more enjoyable. This period is perfect for beach holidays, surfing, sunset dining, waterfall visits, and exploring famous destinations like Seminyak, Canggu, Ubud, and Uluwatu. Meanwhile, the rainy season from November to March offers greener landscapes and fewer crowds. Some travelers even prefer this period because accommodation prices can be more affordable and tourist attractions are generally less busy. Different areas in Bali offer different experiences: Seminyak is ideal for dining, shopping, beach clubs, and nightlife. Canggu is popular among surfers, digital nomads, and café lovers. Ubud is perfect for nature, wellness retreats, and cultural experiences. Nusa Dua offers luxury resorts and family-friendly beaches. Sanur is known for relaxed coastal vibes and sunrise views. Choosing the right location can greatly affect your Bali travel experience. Plan Your Bali Budget Carefully One reason why Bali remains popular among international travelers is because it can accommodate many types of travel budgets. Bali offers everything from affordable local restaurants and budget guesthouses to luxury beach clubs and high end private villas. Before your trip, it is important to estimate expenses for flights, accommodation, transportation, meals, activities, shopping, and emergency costs. Even though Bali is considered affordable compared to many international destinations, costs can increase quickly if you frequently dine at upscale restaurants, book private tours, or spend time at premium beach clubs. Using a combination of cash and debit or credit cards is recommended. ATMs are widely available across Bali’s tourist areas, but carrying too much cash is not advised. Travelers should also inform their banks before international travel to avoid card transaction issues during the holiday. Pack Smart for Bali’s Tropical Weather Packing properly can significantly improve your Bali travel experience. Bali’s weather is warm and humid throughout the year, so lightweight and breathable clothing is usually the best choice. Most travelers bring essentials such as swimwear, sunglasses, sunscreen, sandals, portable chargers, reusable water bottles, insect repellent, and comfortable clothing for daily activities. If you plan to visit temples or cultural attractions, modest outfits are recommended because many sacred sites require respectful dress codes. Travelers planning outdoor adventures such as hiking Mount Batur should also prepare comfortable shoes and light jackets, as mountain areas can become surprisingly cool early in the morning. Download Essential Apps Before Traveling Modern Bali travel becomes easier with useful mobile applications. Before arriving in Bali, consider downloading: Google Maps Google Translate Ride hailing apps like Grab and Gojek Currency converter apps Airline apps Hotel booking apps These apps help travelers navigate Bali more efficiently, especially in busy areas where transportation and traffic can sometimes be challenging. Scooter rentals are also common in Bali, but travelers should only ride scooters if they are experienced and possess the proper driving licenses. Safety should always remain a priority during your Bali holiday. Respect Balinese Culture and Local Traditions One of the most memorable parts of Bali travel is experiencing the island’s rich culture and spiritual atmosphere. Balinese traditions remain deeply rooted in everyday life, and visitors will often see ceremonies, temple offerings, and cultural events taking place throughout the island. Respecting local customs is very important during your stay. Travelers should dress appropriately when visiting temples, avoid stepping on ceremonial offerings placed on sidewalks, and remain respectful during religious ceremonies. Learning a few simple Indonesian phrases can also create positive interactions with local communities. Being respectful toward Balinese culture not only improves your travel experience but also supports sustainable and responsible tourism. Choose the Right Place to Stay in Bali Choosing accommodation carefully can completely shape your Bali holiday experience. Many travelers today prefer staying in private villas because they offer more privacy, larger living spaces, private swimming pools, and a more relaxing atmosphere compared to standard hotels. Staying in a villa in Seminyak is especially recommended for travelers who want easy access to famous beaches, trendy cafés, international restaurants, beach clubs, shopping areas, spas, and nightlife entertainment. Seminyak remains one of Bali’s most strategic and popular holiday destinations because everything is conveniently located nearby. Flights to Bali and luxury villa in Seminyak with private pool and tropical garden

Flights to Bali in 2026: Best Deals, Booking Tips & Best Villas in Seminyak

Bali continues to attract travelers from around the world, and in 2026, the demand for flights to Bali is growing steadily as more people plan longer, more meaningful trips. The island offers a unique blend of tropical landscapes, rich culture, and modern lifestyle, making it especially popular among Australian travelers looking for both relaxation and convenience. As more airlines reopen routes and competition increases, travelers now have more flexibility when searching for flights. However, finding the right deal still requires good timing and smart planning. At the same time, choosing where to stay especially a private villa in Seminyak can define the overall quality of your trip just as much as the flight itself. Understanding the Demand for Flights to Bali in 2026 The increasing popularity of Bali is closely tied to changing travel habits, particularly around seasonal holidays. Periods like the summer holiday and school holiday seasons continue to drive a significant surge in searches for flights to Bali, especially from Australia. Families often plan their trips months in advance during these peak periods, which naturally increases competition for both flights and accommodation. During the Australian summer holiday, which typically falls between December and January, Bali becomes a top choice due to its warm weather, beach lifestyle, and short travel time. Similarly, mid year school holidays around June and July bring another wave of travelers seeking a tropical escape. These periods create high demand, making early planning essential for securing the best deals. Booking Strategies to Find the Best Flight Deals Finding the best deals on flights to Bali is less about luck and more about understanding when and how to book. Travelers who plan ahead especially for peak periods like summer holiday and school holiday, are far more likely to secure better prices and preferred flight times. Waiting too long during these seasons often means paying a premium, as availability becomes limited. Outside of peak periods, there is more flexibility to find competitive fares. Shoulder seasons offer a great balance, where travelers can still enjoy Bali’s beauty without the pressure of peak demand. Many experienced travelers monitor price trends over time, using comparison platforms to identify the right moment to book. This approach is particularly useful for those planning trips around flexible dates and timing plays a huge role in getting the best deals on flights. When Is the Best Time to Travel to Bali Bali’s appeal lies in its year round charm, but timing your trip can significantly influence both cost and overall experience. Traveling outside of the busy summer holiday and school holiday periods often allows visitors to enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere, along with more affordable flights to Bali. That said, peak seasons also have their own appeal. The festive atmosphere during the end of year holidays and the lively energy during mid year breaks create a vibrant environment across the island. For many travelers, especially families, these periods are the only time they can travel, which is why planning ahead becomes even more important. Here’s the best time to book flights to Bali: 1. Book 2-5 Months in Advance For international routes, especially flights to Bali from Australia, booking early can save you significantly. Prices tend to rise closer to peak travel dates. 2. Travel During Shoulder Season The best months to find cheaper flights to Bali are: February to May September to early December These periods offer a balance between good weather and fewer crowds. 3. Avoid Peak Holiday Periods Flights tend to be more expensive during: Christmas and New Year School holidays in Australia Major international travel seasons (June–August) Arriving in Bali and Getting to Seminyak After landing at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar, the journey into Bali begins almost immediately. Seminyak is conveniently located within a short drive, making it one of the most accessible and desirable areas to stay. This ease of access is another reason why it remains popular among travelers booking flights to Bali, particularly those visiting for shorter holidays. Seminyak offers a well balanced mix of relaxation and activity. From beachfront sunsets to stylish cafes and vibrant nightlife, the area provides everything travelers need within close reach. This makes it especially appealing during busy holiday seasons, when convenience becomes even more valuable. Why Choose a Villa in Seminyak Choosing a villa in Seminyak provides a level of comfort and privacy that transforms a regular holiday into a more personal experience. Instead of staying in a single hotel room, guests can enjoy spacious living areas, private pools, and a peaceful environment that feels like a home away from home. This becomes even more important during peak travel periods like school holidays, when popular areas can feel crowded. Having a private villa allows you to retreat into your own space while still being close to everything Seminyak has to offer. It’s an ideal balance between privacy and accessibility, particularly for families and groups traveling together. Best Villas in Seminyak for Your Bali Stay If you’re looking for the perfect place to stay after booking your flights to Bali, choosing a well managed villa can elevate your entire trip. From savory street food to traditional ceremonial dishes, Balinese cuisine offers a unique blend of spices, herbs, and cooking techniques that reflect the island’s heritage. In this complete guide, we’ll take you through the top 12 bali local food you must try, especially if you’re staying in Seminyak or nearby areas. 1. Babi Guling (Balinese Suckling Pig) Babi guling is one of the most famous bali local food and a true symbol of Balinese culinary tradition. This dish is prepared by marinating a whole pig with a rich blend of traditional spices known as base genep, which includes turmeric, garlic, coriander, lemongrass, and galangal. The pig is then slowly roasted over an open fire for several hours, resulting in incredibly tender meat and perfectly crispy skin. It is typically served with steamed rice, lawar (vegetable mix), crispy pork skin, and spicy sambal. The combination of textures, crispy, juicy, and spicy. Makes babi guling an unforgettable experience for anyone exploring bali local food. 2. Nasi Campur Bali (Mixed Rice Plate) Nasi campur is one of the most versatile and accessible bali local food dishes, perfect for first time visitors who want to try a variety of flavors in one plate. The dish consists of steamed white rice served with a selection of side dishes such as shredded chicken, satay, fried peanuts, boiled eggs, vegetables, and sambal. Each warung or restaurant has its own unique version, which means no two nasi campur plates are exactly the same. This diversity makes nasi campur a great introduction to the rich and varied world of bali local food. 3. Ayam Betutu (Slow Cooked Spiced Chicken) Ayam betutu is a traditional ceremonial dish that represents the depth of Balinese cooking techniques. The chicken is marinated with a complex spice paste made from chili, shallots, garlic, ginger, turmeric, and other local herbs, then wrapped in banana leaves and slow-cooked for several hours. The long cooking process allows the spices to fully infuse into the meat, resulting in a soft, juicy texture and deep, aromatic flavor. As one of the most authentic bali local food, ayam betutu offers a true taste of Bali’s culinary heritage. 4. Bebek Betutu (Slow Cooked Duck) Bebek betutu is similar to ayam betutu but uses duck, which has a richer and more intense flavor. The duck is carefully prepared and marinated with traditional spices before being wrapped and slow-cooked until tender. Because duck meat is naturally denser, the cooking process takes longer, allowing the flavors to develop even more deeply. This dish is a favorite among food lovers who want to experience a more indulgent side of bali local food. 5. Sate Lilit (Balinese Minced Satay) Sate lilit is a unique variation of satay and one of the most popular bali local food dishes. Instead of using chunks of meat, it is made from minced meat, commonly fish, chicken, or pork. Mixed with grated coconut, lime leaves, and traditional spices. The mixture is then wrapped around bamboo sticks or lemongrass stalks and grilled over charcoal. The result is a juicy, flavorful satay with a slightly smoky aroma and a fragrant hint of herbs. 6. Lawar (Traditional Balinese Mix) Lawar is a traditional Balinese dish that combines finely chopped vegetables, grated coconut, minced meat, and a rich blend of spices. It is often served as a side dish alongside rice and meats. Some traditional versions include fresh animal blood, which adds a distinct flavor and reflects the ceremonial roots of bali local food. While it may be unfamiliar to some travelers, lawar offers an authentic insight into Balinese culture and culinary traditions. 7. Nasi Jinggo (Balinese Street Food Rice) Nasi jinggo is a simple yet beloved street style bali local food that is widely available across the island. It consists of a small portion of rice wrapped in banana leaves, accompanied by shredded chicken, noodles, serundeng (spiced grated coconut), and sambal. Despite its small size, nasi jinggo is packed with flavor and is incredibly affordable, making it a popular choice for both locals and travelers looking for a quick and authentic bite. 8. Tipat Cantok (Balinese Vegetable Salad) Tipat cantok is a delicious and healthy option in the world of bali local food. This dish features a mix of boiled vegetables such as bean sprouts, long beans, and spinach, combined with rice cakes (ketupat) and topped with rich peanut sauce. The sauce is freshly ground using traditional methods, giving it a deeper and more authentic taste compared to typical peanut sauces. It’s a great choice for those who prefer a lighter yet flavorful dish. 9. Tum Ayam (Steamed Chicken in Banana Leaves) Tum ayam is a traditional dish made from minced chicken mixed with spices, coconut, and herbs, then wrapped in banana leaves and steamed. This cooking method locks in moisture and flavor, resulting in a soft and aromatic dish. It is often served as part of ceremonial meals but can also be found in local eateries. As a lesser-known bali local food, tum ayam is perfect for those looking to explore beyond the more popular dishes. 10. Jaje Bali (Traditional Balinese Snacks) Jaje Bali refers to a variety of traditional snacks and sweets commonly found in local markets. These treats are made from ingredients such as rice flour, coconut, and palm sugar, often presented in vibrant colors and unique shapes. They are typically enjoyed as a light snack or dessert and are an essential part of daily life and ceremonies, making them an important aspect of bali local food culture. 11.
