Why Book A Villa Direct?

why book a villa direct
Why book your villa directly with the property,  rather than all the other online options offered these days?

Why book a villa direct with the property,  rather than all the other online options offered these days?

With the number of booking options available, it can get confusing with all the information and flashy advertising these days, all aimed at one thing – separating you from your hard earned money!

So, why book a villa direct with the property? Well, in the end, it is your choice of course – but, ask yourself this question – ‘who should be providing me with the best possible deal and service’? The company that is ultimately hosting you, and providing the services – or another party who is only usually ‘reselling’ exactly the same product, under a different banner? Often they are then just re-booking with the property manager anyway.

When you look at it that way, it makes perfect sense to book directly from the source!

At Villa Bugis, we pride ourselves not just in the product – the villa itself – but the services that we provide you before, during and after your stay!

So what does that look like? Here are a few reasons why booking directly makes more sense.

  • Guaranteed Lowest Rate!. In the unlikely event that you find a better rate elsewhere, send us the details and we will match it as long as the details are the same. There are a lot of fakes out there!
  • Only pay a deposit, not the full amount upon booking
  • Personalised service from real people – our friendly reservation team!
  • The ability to chat with our reservation team before, during and after a booking to assist in all matters
  • Ability to discuss anything you need to clarify, or issues you are facing – this is often not an option for many other ‘online’ options – who do not know the villa details, or how to answer your detailed questions. Sometimes you just want an answer from a real person who knows what they are talking about!
  • Many different contact methods – by phone, email or whatsapp
  • Online chat with one of our staff live if you prefer typing than talking to a person
  • Ability to pay via credit card, bank transfer or ‘Wise’.
  • The ability to modify your reservation in some situations due to certain unforeseen circumstances
  • Free airport transfers
  • Free daily breakfast
  • Extra bonuses for repeat guests
  • Late check out options (subject to availability)
  • Early Checkin options (subject to availability)

How Much Does a Bali Holiday Cost? A Complete Budget Guide for 2026

Planning a Bali holiday in 2026 and wondering how much money you should prepare? One of the reasons Bali continues to be one of the world’s most popular holiday destinations is its flexibility. Whether you are a backpacker looking for an affordable tropical escape, a couple planning a romantic getaway, a family travelling with children, or a group of friends looking for a comfortable and relaxing holiday, Bali offers accommodation, food, activities, and experiences to suit different budgets. The total cost of a Bali holiday can vary significantly depending on several factors, including where you stay, when you travel, how you get around the island, where you eat, and what activities you choose. A seven-day Bali trip for a couple staying in a private villa will naturally have a different budget from a solo traveller staying in a budget guesthouse. Similarly, a family may find that sharing a multi-bedroom private villa provides better overall value than booking several separate hotel rooms. What Is the Average Cost of a Bali Holiday? The cost of a Bali holiday varies significantly depending on your travel style and the type of accommodation you choose. As a general guide, a traveller might spend approximately: Budget Bali holiday: $30–$60 per person, per day, excluding international flights Mid-range Bali holiday: $60–$150 per person, per day, excluding international flights Comfortable or affordable luxury Bali holiday: $150–$300+ per person, per day, excluding international flights Luxury Bali holiday: $300+ per person, per day, depending on accommodation and experiences These figures are only general estimates. Your actual budget may be lower or higher depending on where you stay, how often you dine at restaurants, how much you spend on activities, and whether you travel during Bali’s high or peak seasons. For families and groups, staying in a private villa can sometimes offer better value than booking multiple hotel rooms, especially when you can share the cost of accommodation while enjoying additional space and facilities. How Much Do Flights to Bali Cost? For most international travellers, flights will be one of the largest individual expenses of a Bali holiday. The price of your airfare will depend on your departure city, airline, travel dates, baggage allowance, and how far in advance you book. Travellers from Australia often have the advantage of relatively convenient direct flight options to Bali, making the island a popular choice for short breaks as well as longer family holidays. Flight prices can increase during popular travel periods, particularly around Christmas and New Year, Australian school holidays, Easter, July and August, and other major holiday periods. If you are travelling with a family, the cost of flights can quickly become a significant part of your overall budget, so it is worth comparing different dates before booking. One of the easiest ways to manage your Bali holiday cost is to be flexible with your travel dates. Travelling during the shoulder season or choosing flights on less popular days of the week may give you more options and potentially better prices. It is also worth considering your total travel costs rather than focusing only on the cheapest flight. A slightly more expensive direct flight may be more convenient for families with young children than a cheaper itinerary with a long stopover. How Much Does Accommodation Cost in Bali? Accommodation is another major part of your Bali holiday budget. Bali offers a huge variety of accommodation, from budget hostels and guesthouses to boutique hotels, resorts, and private villas. Typical accommodation options include: Budget Accommodation Budget travellers can find simple rooms and guesthouses at relatively affordable prices, particularly outside the most popular tourist areas. This option is ideal for travellers who plan to spend most of their time exploring Bali and simply need a comfortable place to sleep. Mid-Range Hotels Mid-range hotels offer a balance between comfort and price. Many include swimming pools, breakfast, air conditioning, and convenient locations. This can be a good choice for couples or solo travellers who want comfortable accommodation without choosing a luxury resort. Private Villas Private villas are particularly popular with couples, families, and groups of friends. A private villa can offer more space and privacy compared with a standard hotel room. Depending on the villa, you may have your own swimming pool, tropical garden, living areas, kitchen facilities, and multiple bedrooms. For families and groups, a multi-bedroom villa can also provide better value because everyone can stay together under one roof rather than paying for several separate hotel rooms. When comparing accommodation prices, it is important to consider the overall experience rather than looking only at the nightly rate. A villa with a central location, private pool, spacious garden, multiple bedrooms, and included staff service may provide significantly more value for a family or group than booking several hotel rooms. How Much Should You Budget for Food in Bali? One of the reasons Bali remains popular with international travellers is the variety of food available at different price points. You can enjoy everything from inexpensive local Indonesian food to high-end international dining. Local Food Eating at a local warung is one of the best ways to experience authentic Indonesian cuisine while keeping your Bali holiday budget under control. Popular dishes include: Nasi goreng Mie goreng Nasi campur Satay Gado-gado Bakso Babi guling Rendang Local food is generally one of the most affordable ways to eat in Bali. Cafes and Casual Restaurants Popular tourist areas such as Seminyak offer a wide range of cafes and casual restaurants serving Indonesian, Australian, Asian, and Western cuisine. You can enjoy everything from breakfast and brunch to fresh seafood, burgers, pizza, pasta, and healthy meals. Prices are generally higher in popular tourist areas, but the convenience and variety can make them worthwhile. Fine Dining Bali also has an impressive selection of upscale restaurants and fine-dining experiences. If you are celebrating a special occasion or looking for a memorable dining experience, you may want to include a larger food budget in your Bali holiday plans. A good approach is to mix different

The Complete Guide to Bali Entry Requirements 2026

Planning a Bali holiday and wondering, “Do I need a visa for Bali?” Understanding the latest Bali entry requirements is one of the most important things to check before booking your flights, accommodation, and activities. Bali is one of the world’s most popular tropical destinations, welcoming visitors from around the globe for beach holidays, cultural experiences, wellness retreats, family vacations, honeymoons, and longer stays. However, visa requirements for entering Bali depend on your nationality, the purpose of your visit, and how long you plan to stay in Indonesia. For most travelers, entering Bali is relatively straightforward. However, you should make sure your passport, visa, and other required documents are prepared before you travel. In this guide, we explain what you need to know about Bali visa requirements, passport validity, tourist visas, visa-free entry, the Visa on Arrival, and other important Bali entry requirements to help you prepare for a smooth and stress-free holiday. Do You Need a Visa to Visit Bali? For many international travelers, a visa is required to enter Indonesia for a holiday in Bali. Depending on your nationality, you may be eligible for visa-free entry, a Visa on Arrival (VoA), or an electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VoA). The rules can vary depending on your passport and the purpose of your trip. If you are visiting Bali for tourism, the most common option for eligible travelers is the Visa on Arrival, which allows you to enter Indonesia for a short holiday. Before traveling, it is important to check the current requirements that apply specifically to your nationality. Immigration policies can change, so travelers should always verify the latest information through official Indonesian immigration sources before their trip. If you are planning to stay in Bali for longer than the standard tourist period, you may need a different type of visa or an extension, depending on your circumstances. What Are the Main Bali Entry Requirements? Before departing for your Bali holiday, make sure you have the necessary travel documents ready. The requirements may vary depending on your nationality and visa type, but travelers should generally prepare the following: 1. A Valid Passport Your passport must meet Indonesia’s minimum validity requirements at the time of arrival. It is important to check your passport expiry date well before your Bali travel dates. Airlines may also check your documents before allowing you to board your flight. If your passport is close to expiring, consider renewing it before booking your trip to Bali. 2. The Correct Visa or Entry Permission Depending on your nationality and travel purpose, you may need: Visa-free entry, if eligible Visa on Arrival (VoA) Electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VoA) Another appropriate Indonesian visa for longer or different types of stays For a typical tourist visiting Bali for a short holiday, the Visa on Arrival or e-VoA is one of the most common options for eligible nationalities. Always check the latest rules before your trip because visa policies and eligible countries can change. 3. Return or Onward Travel Travelers may be asked to provide proof of onward or return travel. This is generally used to demonstrate that you plan to leave Indonesia within the permitted period of your stay. Having your return flight or onward ticket easily accessible can make the arrival process more straightforward. 4. Arrival and Customs Requirements Travelers arriving in Bali may need to complete the required arrival and customs declarations. You should also ensure that you comply with Indonesian customs regulations regarding the items you bring into the country. Preparing these requirements before you fly can help you spend less time dealing with paperwork when you arrive at Bali’s airport. What Is a Bali Tourist Visa? When people search for a Bali tourist visa, they are usually referring to the visa or entry permission that allows them to visit Indonesia for tourism. Bali is part of Indonesia, so there is technically no separate “Bali visa.” Instead, travelers enter Indonesia under Indonesian immigration regulations and then travel to Bali. For tourists, the most common short-term option available to eligible nationalities is the Visa on Arrival or electronic Visa on Arrival. This type of visa is designed for travelers visiting Indonesia for purposes such as tourism and allows eligible visitors to stay for a limited period. If you are planning a standard Bali holiday, it is important to understand the permitted length of stay and whether your visa can be extended. What Is the Visa on Arrival for Bali? The Visa on Arrival, commonly known as VoA, is one of the most popular entry options for eligible international visitors traveling to Bali. Depending on the applicable regulations, eligible travelers can obtain a Visa on Arrival when they arrive in Indonesia or apply for an electronic Visa on Arrival before their trip. The e-VoA can be particularly convenient for travelers who prefer to prepare their documents before flying. However, eligibility, fees, permitted activities, and stay periods can change. Always check the latest official Indonesian immigration information before your Bali travel. Can You Extend a Bali Tourist Visa? In some circumstances, travelers holding an eligible tourist visa may be able to extend their stay in Indonesia. This can be useful if you initially planned a short Bali holiday but decide that you want to spend more time exploring the island. For example, you might arrive in Bali planning to stay for a few weeks but later decide to extend your trip to enjoy more of the island’s beaches, temples, rice fields, restaurants, and cultural experiences. However, visa extensions are subject to specific immigration rules and conditions. You should not assume that every visa can be extended automatically. If you want to stay in Bali longer than your initial permitted period, make sure you understand the extension process and apply before your current stay expires. Overstaying your permitted period can result in penalties and other immigration issues. Can You Visit Bali Without a Visa? Whether you can enter Bali without a visa depends on your nationality and the current Indonesian
