Read on, and, we’ll take you on a journey through the world of Bali villas, showcasing their unique features and highlighting why they are the perfect choice for a memorable getaway.

The Bali Villas Experience: What are Bali Villas?

These private, often opulent properties are designed to offer the ultimate in comfort and privacy. They typically are multiple bedrooms in a privately walled compound, often single-level and self contained, designed to be a home away from home.

They have a kitchen, dining and living spaces, and are usually on spacious property that puts it at a distance from other buildings, with an emphasis on privacy.

They should have a private pool of a decent size, with suntanning areas/sunbeds and often gazebos for some quiet time or a massage. They often have spacious gardens and grassy lawns too. Holiday Bali villas are usually close to amenities, the beach, shops, and entertainment areas.

Usually they are staffed, offering services tailored to the guests wishes, such as daily cleaning and breakfast cooking services, gardening and pool maintenance, as well as in villa dining and spa services as options.

What are the benefits of Bali Villas?

So why book  Bali Villas over a resort, or hotel? Why choose a villa? There are many reasons why it makes sense as to why choose a villa. The least of which is, don’t you deserve to spoil yourself once in a while, and enjoy the lifestyle of the rich and famous, without the need to necessarily be either? Let’s look closer at the alternatives to a villa – the hotel, or the resort.

If you are a family, or a group, then you will probably need multiple rooms in either a resort or hotel style accommodation – if you add up the cost of multiple rooms in any decent hotel, or resort, then you will probably arrive at much the same cost as one of our Villa’s – and may even save you money. That’s why you should choose a villa!

If you are a couple looking for that romantic getaway, then the chances are you are also looking to splash out a little on the hotel – and for the price of one of the nicer hotels – you could stay in Bali Villas.

But there are so many other reasons too:

  • You all get to stay in the same, but seperate space
  • You do not pay for services, staff or infrastructure you may never use – no hidden charges
  • You have complete privacy, and no need to share the pool with anyone else
  • You can keep your eye on the kids, while kicking back and relaxing yourself
  • No need to get up early to grab the best chairs
  • You are not locked into an isolated resort that has limited food or bar options
  • You can have as little or as much attention from the staff as you require
  • You can cook yourself or be spoiled by a private villa dining experience with staff attending to all your needs, or walk to many dining options
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Open concept living
  • More space, more informality, more privacy, and more personal service
  • Boasting rights – anyone can stay in a hotel – but a villa stay is more of a vacation you will never forget, and pictures you will delight in showing family and friends

Diverse Bali Villa Options:

  • There are so many villa options in Bali, ranging from beachfront villas with stunning ocean views to serene jungle hideaways nestled in the lush tropical rainforest.
  • They come in all different sizes, from cosy one-bedroom retreats to expansive multi-bedroom properties, making them suitable for couples, families, and groups of friends.

Cultural and Natural Surroundings:

  • Bali has a unique culture and history, like no other in Indonesia, as well as the natural beauty of its surroundings, making the island a perfect destination for a Bali villa vacations. You can enjoy sunrise in the mountains, lunch on a lake, and sunset on the beach, all on the same day.
  • From the famous beauty of the tranquil rice terraces, vibrant cultural festivals, and world-class surfing beaches and dining options, all of which can be easily accessed from Bali villas.

Bali Villas Locations:

  • Kuta

is the most well known area, but caters mainly for the 18-25’s set, letting their hair down, or those that have been coming to Bali for years since they were younger. It tends to be busy and pretty noisy – not everyones cup of tea, but it suits the younger/party set!

  • Sanur and Nusa Dua

are also popular, but they can be largely resort style driven, and you can tend to get locked into a resort – some can be a bit isolated, as they look to extract extra dollars for food and services during your stay. This is often favoured more by the Asian foreign tourist, who likes the one stop shop or those that suffer from the ‘we always stayed here when we were growing up’ syndrome. Sanur is an older area, whilst Nusa Dua has some of the newer and larger resort styles. It is a bit isolated though, nothing too much there except the resorts, so you can feel a little ‘locked in’.

  • Canggu

is about 30 mins to 1 hour north of Seminyak, depending on the traffic, and is the newest area of rapid expansion in Bali – it is also popular with the younger 18-25 set, due to it’s many bars, restaurants, and beach clubs/nightlife – but it can be a little too busy for some people looking for peace and quiet, and the traffic can be a nightmare around the area, with narrow access roads causing daily congestion. It is a real melting pot of age groups and nationalities, and it’s also not for everyone.

  • Ubud

is famous for its more ‘new age’ and ‘green’ genre, and laid back lifestyle, and those wanting to escape the traditional beach goers/holiday makers – but has also become increasingly congested as well in recent times, as more people discover its allure

  • Seminyak

on the other hand, provides a more laid back offering, catering more for the over 25’s, as well as a more family oriented and perhaps more sophisticated alternative, with a plethora of boutiques for shopping and the full range and styles of restaurants, cafe’s  or local warungs to satisfy any taste or budget. This is where you will find a lot of the nicest Bali villas. Seminyak is also home to many of Bali’s more popular bars and familiar night clubs, from down to earth Aussie style pubs, to the more sophisticated beach clubs such as the famous Ku De Ta for the happening crowd. There are also many family oriented outdoor bar/restaurants on the beach, such as Potato Head and Mrs Sippy for dining, swimming (pool or beach) or just chilling Seminyak is catering equally for singles, groups and families but where you can escape back to your own private space with peace and quiet. Definitely the place to be!
