Top 3 Things To Do In Bali Before Arrival
If you are wondering what are the top 3 things to do in Bali before arrival,
You will need these 3 things completed BEFORE you arrive in Bali:
- A Visa. The Indonesian government has released the online e-VOA (e- Visa On Arrival) to streamline the process of arrival, by getting a 30 day tourist e-visa in advance. This may save a lot of time queuing at immigration, and we suggest you do it at least a few days in advance. You can see more details here: https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id/web/visa-selection
- Customs declaration. You will also need to fill in an online customs declaration, which can be found here: https://ecd.beacukai.go.id/
- Tourist Levy. Effective February 14th, 2024 Bali’s government has released a new Levy for the International Tourists for the Protection of Culture and the natural environment of Bali. Other Things To Do In Bali Before Arrival
So what else is needed, to smooth over the things to do in Bali before arrival.
Got your Travel insurance Yet?
Once again, we also strongly advise to obtain travel insurance to cover unforeseen medical or travel issues and we also recommend obtaining travel insurance with the CFAR option “Cancellation For Any Reason” – it is inexpensive, at only a few dollars a day. Travel Insurance claims are to be used in lieu of refunds. Not taking out Travel Insurance is assumed to be a conscious decision, and a risk accepted by each traveller. All payments received are non-refundable.
Security Deposit
Think about how you will settle this.
Upon your arrival, we will also require a security deposit of IDR 3,000,000 to cover any damage or losses at the Villa during your stay. This may be paid in cash or credit card and cash deposits will be refunded at check out.
Please note that we also receive cash equivalent in other currencies and will return in the same currency. We strongly recommend this option
We just want to let you know that currently ‘cardver’ payment for security deposit is no longer available due to Bank regulations. (CardVer, was a transaction which had the function to hold a fixed amount of money as a deposit to cover the expenses of the guest without actually processing a charge, and released upon checkout).
Credit card payment of security deposit IS still possible though, however it would now be an actual credit card transaction, so there will be a 2.5% credit card fee. The transaction can be refunded upon check out by cash IDR.
It also can be refunded to your credit card if desired, but please be very aware it may take a long time to appear in your card statement, as credit card refunds can take many weeks to process by the banks. The banking system of course is completely outside of our control. Also the amount received might be different due to bank fees, charges or the exchange rates which are also outside of our control – if this is an issue for you, we suggest using the cash deposit, or cash refund option.
Check In/Check Out Times and Late Check out
We would like to kindly remind you, the check in time is 2pm. Check out time is at 12pm. Late checkout can be booked subject to availability. An extra charge to stay in the villa for a late check out until 18:00 PM is 50% of the normal daily villa rate. Please ask for other available options.
Do you wish to have some grocery items available in the villa?
Just send us a grocery list. All items will be invoiced together, however please kindly note that there may be a 10% service charge applied to some beverage items of your grocery list.
What are other things to do in Bali before arrival? We do have in villa dining available too – breakfast is included every day, but we can also come to your villa and cook lunch or dinner for you – please note this is not available on your first night (due to the unpredictability nature of arrival times) – many guests love this option, especially, when they are still settling in – many guests have let us know they wish they had utilised our food options earlier in their stay, as it’s the best local food they had in Bali! You can check out our ‘Taste of Bali’ menu here and book before you arrive:
Food Allergies
It would also assist if you could inform us if you or any of your guests have any food allergies or any other special requirements or requests prior to your arrival, to help us assist you better.
